A hard-working preparation team had decorated the foyer of the Wolfgang Paul Lecture Hall in bright colors the day before, so that the colorful festivities could begin at 11:11 a.m. on Weiberfastnacht – immediately after an exam that had been written in the lecture hall.
With carnival music, Kölsch beer, and a great atmosphere, up to 150 jolly physicists celebrated Carnival cheerfully until the early evening hours.
Although Weiberfastnacht will fall during the winter-semester lecture period next year, the organizing team will also organize a carnival celebration for the Physics Institutes in 2027 and is already inviting everyone to join in and celebrate.
