To mark the 80th anniversary of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, NRW-Tag 2026 was celebrated in Münster from August 28 to 30. There was plenty to discover along the eleven themed avenues and on the ten stages, including several physics experiments! At the invitation of the MKW NRW, the Physikshow Uni Bonn ran its own pavilion.
Sitting on a rotating chair and holding a bicycle tire, visitors could experience physics firsthand. Spectators were quite amazed when Kristoffer lay down on the floor and Prof. Herbi Dreiner lifted a board with nails onto Kristoffer’s stomach—with the nails facing down. The suspense reached its peak when a visitor stepped onto the nail board. Because her weight was distributed across the many nails, Kristoffer remained unharmed.
For three days, Yumi, Paula, Luke, Mika, Kristoffer, and Prof. Dreiner led around 20 experiments, making the laws of physics accessible to visitors.
