Preparatory Lab Course
Students who are enrolled in the M.Sc. in Physics or M.Sc. in Astrophysics program and did not get their Bachelor degree at University of Bonn must attend and pass a preparatory lab course before they are admitted to the Advanced Lab Course. The preparatory lab course provides insights in the lab-course standards at Bonn and helps students prepare for the Advanced Lab Course. Further information:

General information
Organisation
- A mandatory preparatory meeting/safety briefing takes place at the beginning of lecture time.
- Course participants work in teams of two on a lab experiment and submit a lab report.
- Each team must pass an oral exam before being admitted to the experimental session. The exam is about the physics background, setup and measurement method of the experiment.
Conditions for successful participation
- Attendance of the preparatory meeting/safety briefing
- Successful completion of the experimental tasks after passing the oral exam
- Submission of the lab report
